As the Area Manager for Le Méridien Hotels Magreb, based in Casablanca, Morocco, I furthered the corporate development team's new property acquisitions. I emphasized driving operational and financial synergies to enhance area profit, brand recognition and reputation.

South Africa

In Cape Town, I managed a diverse portfolio of multi-property operations as the Chief Operating Officer of Arabella Starwood South Africa. In this capacity I rebranded hotels, coordinated ownership expectations and brand requirements while maximizing the synergies between different operations to drive profits and market recognition. In addition, I was an integral board member of the Cape Town International Convention Center, and oversaw the design and operation of a new golf course.

Dubai

As the Area Manager for Starwood Hotels in Dubai, I oversaw seven five-star branded properties. While successfully managing a highly diverse associate pool that was recognized with a divisional leadership award, I enhanced owner relations and property synergies, as well as financial, brand, and customer key performance indicators (KPIs). I conceptualized, designed, and implemented market driven Food & Beverage operations; opened and rebranded hotels; prepared pro formas and pre-opening budgets; and drove Sales & Marketing processes while assuring leading revenue per available room (RevPAR) and hotel reputational indexes.

• Awards for the best Food & Beverage concept and operation in the Europe, Africa, and Middle East division at the Heliopolis Sheraton, Cairo.

• Award for leadership at the Capital Hilton, Washington, D.C.

• Forbes Award for one of the top 50 luxury hotel managers at the Çırağan Palace Kempinski Hotel in Istanbul, Turkey.
